UPA cannot be blamed: Mamata

Special Correspondent

KOLKATA: The UPA cannot be blamed for not disclosing the full text of the India specific safeguards agreement pertaining to the nuclear deal, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee said here on Thursday.

“Such documents concerning the country’s defence is secret, and as such cannot be shared with anybody outside the government.”

Moreover, the Left parties had no moral right to demand the text as the Left Front government in West Bengal had not made public the agreement signed with Tata Motors for the setting up of the automobile manufacturing project at Singur.
