Back-up facility from BSNL

CHENNAI: BSNL Chennai Telephones has launched a value added service that helps subscribers keep a back-up of the data on their mobile.

The service will provide a replica of the address book, contacts, calendar, SMS, pictures, videos and music. Customers can restore the data whenever they want.

This facility could be useful in case a mobile is lost or a new cell phone is bought.

Subscription rates

Monthly subscription for this service is Rs.30.

Customers having GPRS can register for this service by logging on to http://pb.bsnl.onmobile.com/bsnlwap or by sending SMS SUB to 58989.

Chennai Telephones has also launched a contest with a range of gadgets as prizes for the winners.

The “Richie Rich Contest”, held in association with OnMobile, will involve answering a quiz over the BSNL IVRS codes 12555 or 1255566.

It is open till August 15.
