CHENNAI: The designer products showcased at the Jute Emporium demonstrate how being eco-friendly could mean being trendy.

From tastefully designed earrings, chains, hairclips and wall hangings to ethnic door mats and stylish hand bags, a whole lot of interesting products made with jute as the primary raw material are available at the exhibition-cum-sale. Dharti, a non-governmental organisation, has showcased the products made by women’s self-help groups in rural areas.

The exhibition-cum-sale is on at the Jute Emporium, located at 98, T.T.K. Road, till Sunday.
