AIR executive wins award

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Biju Mathew, the Programme Executive of All India Radio, Devikulam has bagged the 2008 Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union Programme Award.
The international recognition is for excellence in health reporting in electronic media.
The award which consists of 1,000 US dollars and a plaque is instituted by the US based Kaiser Foundation and Malaysia based Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
The award winning radio documentary "Before darkness falls..." which is written and produced by Biju Mathew will be translated into different languages and will be broadcast in all sixty five ABU member countries.
