Maoist threat

Rourkela: Unable to resist the repeated extortion threats from naxalites, a prominent industrialist of Raibaga town, who lost his son in a Maoist attack, was forced to leave his ancestral home here.

Confirming the incident, police sources said on Friday that industrialist Basu Jaiswal left his house in Maoist-affected Sundergarh district on Thursday. The family was staying there for several decades.

Mr. Jaiswal lost his youngest son, Mohan, 24, in firing and bombing at their house by a 30-member group of Maoists on June 23. -PTI
