MP’s call to NGOs on population boom

VIZIANAGARAM: Lok Sabha member Botcha Jhansi Lakshmi has called upon voluntary organisations, students and officials to enlighten people on the population explosion else it would lead to economic imbalances.

Speaking to media after flagging off a rally at RTC Complex on the occasion of World Population Day on Friday, Ms. Jhansi Lakshmi said that the rate of increase in population that might cross the China’s figure in a couple of decades as a matter of concern and suggested that the eligible couple would strictly adhere to small family norm. Expressing satisfaction with the progress on family planning operations in the district. Zilla Parishad Chairman B. Appala Naidu, In-charge District Medical and Health Officer S. Chandra Reddy, a number of ANMs and NGOs participated in the rally.

Improvement

Kakinada: The NSS district officer P.V. Krishna Rao called for a qualitative improvement of population to achieve real progress of the nation. He was speaking at a meeting organised at the PVR Trust Degree College on the occasion of the World Population Day on Friday. Principal K.K. Avadhanulu, NSS programme officers P. Suribabu and V.
