VISAKHAPATNAM: Body of a Home Guard M. Lakshmana Rao alias Sashi, was recovered from the Chitrakonda (Balimela) reservoir in Orissa near Andhra border on Friday. The body was sent here for post-mortem. With the recovery of Lakshmana Rao’s body, the number of deaths in the Maoist attack on on June 29 went up to 37. One more Home Guard Krishna is still missing and the search would continue. 28 surviveThere were sixty six Home Guards on board the launch when it came under attack by the Maoists. on the ill-fated day. Twenty eight have survived and eight of them are under going treatment for injuries. Lakshmana Rao was a native of Maddigaruvu village in G. Madugula mandal. He was working as Home Guard at the Narsipatnam Police Station. Krishna also belongs to Visakha Agency.
