Stone laid for Capex building

KOLLAM: Traditional industries and public sector companies should attain the capabilities to compete with the private sector, Industries Minister Elamaram Karim has said. He was addressing a gathering here on Friday after laying the foundation stone for the head-office building of the cooperative sector Capex (Cashew Workers Apex Industrial Cooperative Society). The policy of the government was to protect the traditional industries, he said.

Minister for Cashew and Labour P.K. Gurudasan said that the Cashew Board would become a reality by August and that the board office would be located in Kollam.
