Bangalore: Do you want to dine out with your loved ones and also have the satisfaction that you have extended a helping hand for a worthy cause? Then here is some news for you.

Concern India Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust, in association with The Chancery Pavilion, is introducing a concept in charity.

Claimed to be the first of its kind in Bangalore, Indian Affair (The Chancery Pavilion’s speciality Indian restaurant) will have a dedicated “Concern Table” at dinnertime on weekends.

The entire proceeds of the table will go towards supporting the community development programmes of the foundation, Pampa Chowdhury, branch manager of Concern India Foundation, said.

A special menu, Food for Thought, has been designed by chef Sitapathi for the table. There are three menus — Full Stomach Full Support, Eat Right, and Talk with Your Mouthful — each dedicated towards a cause — women empowerment, children’s rights and the elderly. Extending the association with Concern India Foundation further, The Chancery Pavilion has dedicated one wall at Ithaca, the hotel’s Mediterranean restaurant for putting up works of various artists. Named the Concern Art Corner, this wall will have paintings of upcoming artists put up throughout the year.

The proceeds of the works will go towards the development programmes supported by Concern India Foundation, Bhaskar Raju, director of the hotel, said.

Actor Puneet Rajkumar inaugurated the table and Art Corner on Wednesday.
