Star attraction: Film actor Allu Arjun shaking a leg with the dance troupe at a programme in the city on Friday. VISAKHAPATNAM: The excitement of youths at the Godavari Hall of Taj Residency on Friday gave one the impression that the weekend had arrived a day in advance. The occasion was the interaction of Telugu actor Allu Arjun with the winners of ‘Burra Fry? 7Up Try!’ campaign. The delay in the arrival of the star didn’t dampen the spirits of the youths who attended the programme. They danced in gay abandon at their seats to the songs from the films of Allu Arjun and Megastar Chiranjeevi. The programme gave an opportunity to budding dancers to display their talent on stage. Allu Arjun made a dramatic appearance from backstage even as a professional dance troupe was performing to the popular number ‘Aa ante Amalapuram…’ The star took centre stage and within no time he was in sync with the dancers. The crowd went into raptures as the star shook a leg and he seemed to bask in the attention. After the dance, Allu Arjun struck an instant rapport with the crowd asking them: How are you Vizag? When he asked do you know: ‘Why will I take 7Up’? Someone from the crowd replied naughtily, “Mee burra fry’ (your head or rather brain has got heated up). The actor said that he had agreed to take up the role of brand ambassador for 7Up as he identified himself with the product and it was popular among youth. He expressed his love for Vizag saying that all his films shot in the city were super hits. He thanked Pepsico for giving him an opportunity to meet and interact with his fans in various cities and towns all over the State. Managing Director of Pepsico Ruchi Jaipuria spoke. Two flicks at a timeLater speaking to the media, Allu Arjun said that he would give top priority to the subject when choosing a film. Though he was doing only one film at a time so far, he was now planning to do two at a time. He said there was no truth in the reports of his love affair with actor Vidya Balan and said that the media had blown a jovial remark out of proportion. He said that he was planning to do Arya-2 very soon.
