Baby handed over to police
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: The two-day old girl baby that was found in the female toilet block of K.C. General Hospital’s out-patient department Thursday afternoon was handed over to the police on Friday.
The police said the baby had been sent to Shishu Vihar run by the Department of Women and Child Welfare.
Hospital Medical Superintendent M. Vishwa Aradhya told The Hindu on Friday that more than 100 people, including three police officials, came forward to adopt the baby. “But we have handed over her to the police who will ensure her proper upkeep,” Dr Aradhya said.
