Arrested

Coimbatore: The City Police have arrested Revathy (47) of Bharathi Nagar in Peelamedu on the charge of taking away a bag containing 30 sovereigns of gold jewellery which was misplaced in a city bus.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime), K. Thondiraj, said that Chitra who had kept the jewellery in her bag had forgotten to take it while getting down. Revathy took it and got down in the next stop. Based on a complaint, the police arrested the accused.
