Higher outlay sought for SC/ST

BANGALORE: Chairman of the SC, ST cell of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee N. Manjunath, MLC, has appealed to Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa to allocated more funds for the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the State in the budget. Mr. Yeddyurappa will present the budget on July 17. Mr. Manjunath told presspersons here on Friday that the Sarva Shiksa Abhiyan and Anganwadi programmes were being managed by vested interests. — Staff Reporter
