CHENNAI: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Friday interacted with members of the Gujarati community settled in Chennai.

An informal meeting was organised by the Chennai unit of the Gujarati Mandal at the auditorium of the DG Vaishnav College.

Heavy security marked the Gujarat Chief Minister’s visit as he has been provided "Z-Plus" scale security. The campus was completely sterilised well in advance of Mr. Modi’s visit and Tamil Nadu police had posted men all along the road stretch to the venue. Only persons with designated passes were allowed in. Media persons who came to report the function were told that the press was not allowed coverage.
