Old habits die hard, says Pranab Mukherjee
Special Correspondent
NEW DELHI: “It’s a four-year-old habit,” laughed Union External Affairs Minister and senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee.
The allusion was to a wrong reference to the United Progressive Alliance meeting at a briefing on Friday.
“Today the Left-UPA Coordination committee met,” the Minister began, when there was a chorus from the media.
“Old habits die hard,” Mr. Mukherjee said with a hearty laugh and corrected himself.
“After elections,” murmured the Union Agriculture Minister, Sharad Pawar, who stood next to the External Affairs Minister , with a smile.
