Theft cases solved; two arrested
NEW DELHI: A 39-year-old woman and a 30-year-old male accomplice of hers have been arrested for allegedly committing thefts in several houses after drugging their employers.
According to the police, Sushma and Sardool would respond to newspaper advertisements seeking domestic help. After winning the confidence of their employer, the duo would render the family unconscious by lacing their food with drug and decamp with cash and other valuables.
Acting on a tip-off, a Crime Branch team arrested the duo at the Sarai Kale Khan Inter-State Bus Terminus on Thursday. A television set, three mobile phones, four watches and two fake voters’ identity cards have been seized from them, the police said.
