BANGALORE: His joy knew no bounds when he found his lost bag, but only to realise that this joy was short lived. Subba Rao, a resident of ACES Layout in Sanjaynagar, was happy when he got back the bag that he had lost a few days ago. However, this joy turned into despair when he found that the person returning the bag had used his ATM card to withdraw Rs. 49,000. The victim, who lives in 6th Main, lost his hand bag on July 6, and two days later he received a call from a person who asked him to collect the bag at the CBI Junction. Mr. Subba Rao realised that his ATM card that was in the bag was missing after checking his bag. Following inquiries with his bank, he realised that the person who returned the bag had withdrawn Rs. 49,000. A complaint has been filed with the Sanjaynagar police on Friday. WaylaidAn agent of a moneylender was waylaid by three persons on Richmond Road, and was robbed of Rs. 60,000 cash on Thursday. The police said Nagaraju (35) had collected Rs. 60,000 from various people to whom money had been lent, and was riding a motorcycle with his friend Krishna in pillion when the incident occurred on Thursday. According to police, an autorikshaw carrying three persons rammed into Nagaraju’s two-wheeler. Later, Nagaraju was dragged into the autorikshaw and after traversing for some distance, miscreants snatched his bag after assaulting him. In another incident, four persons waylaid Koushik Dutt, an insurance company employee on the Ring Road, and made away with his gold chain, gold ring and cash in all about Rs. 25,000 on Thursday. The incident occurred near KEB junction when Dutt was returning home on his motorcycle. The police said four persons who robbed Mr. Dutt came in two motorcycles. The Girinagar police have registered a complaint. Financier missingSanthosh Naidu, a 25-year-old financier, has been reported to be missing from his home in Chennammanakere Acchukattu since July 1. According to a complaint, Mr. Naidu attended birthday party of a minister and did not return home. His scooter was found abandoned at a place near Mico Layout. Chennammanakere Acchikattu police have registered a case in this connection and are investigating.
