Financial assistance to poor students

DHARWAD: Vidya Poshak, Dharwad, has invited applications to provide financial assistance to poor students who are joining engineering courses this year. According to a press release issued here, students who have secured more than 60 per cent marks in diploma courses and those who are within the top 10 per cent of the Common Entrance Test (CET) ranking are eligible to apply.

The last date for submitting application forms is July 17.

Students from Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Belgaum, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Chikmagalur, Uttar Kannada and Shimoga districts should send their application forms to Vidya Poshak, opposite Bala Balaga, Mahishi Road, Malamaddi, Dharwad (Ph: 0836-2747357) and students from Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Gulbarga, Bellary and Davangere districts should send their applications to Vidya Poshak Regional Office, 1-9-12/1, First Floor, opposite Indira Park (Municipal Garden), Tank Bund Road, Raichur - 584101 (Ph: 08532-225222).
