Jewellery missing

Guruvayur: The police received a complaint from Ramakrishnan of Tamil Nadu that his daughter’s jewellery worth Rs. 4.20 lakh had gone missing after her wedding at a hall here on Saturday. The complaint said that a man got into the hall and made away with a suitcase that contained the jewellery. — Staff Reporter

Thrissur: One person was killed and 22 were injured when a bus in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Kuttenellur here on Saturday. The deceased was identifed as Marimuthu, 60, a member of the bus crew. Students of the SKP Engineering College at Thiruvannamalai were travelling in the bus from Ootacamund to Kochi. The collision occurred around 5 a.m. — Staff Reporter
