Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress(Jacob) leader T.M. Jacob on Saturday inaugurated the fourth day’s agitation in connection with the indefinite fast by State president of the Youth Congress T.Siddique demanding withdrawal of the social science textbook for Class VII, handing over of university appointments to the PSC and ending of police excesses before the Secretariat. The Education Minister’s image was going down by the day for trying to force uncivilised principles and thoughts into young minds, Mr. Jacob said. The former Minister G.Karthikeyan delivered the keynote address. Youth Congress workers waved black flags at the Education Minister when he came to attend the inauguration of the Education Grid Link of Nagaland University and the IIITM-K at the Travancore Hall of the Technopark in the evening. — Special Correspondent
