COIMBATORE: Tirupur Export Knit Printers Association has sought a 30 per cent hike in screen printing charges. A release from the association said printing materials were prepared from petroleum products. Material costWith international crude oil prices shooting up, the prices of printing materials had also gone up. The cost of almost all the materials had moved up by 30 per cent. President of the association T. R. Srikanth said the screen printers took up work for exporters. They were unable to continue printing at the old rates and hence exporters should increase the rates by 30 per cent.
