Maldives’ tourism plan

Bangalore: “Maldives is becoming a favourite location for Bollywood film producers and we want to promote it as a close-by getaway for Indian tourists,” Mahmood Shaugee, Maldives Minister for Tourism has said.

He was speaking after a multi-media presentation on the attractions of Maldives, here on Friday. There were now five flights a week between Bangalore and Maldives, and the flight duration was only 90 minutes, he said.

J. Hotels and Resorts, Maldives, and its Indian partners, announced details of tour packages.
