DEHRA DUN: Five tourists from Delhi were washed away while taking a dip in the Kosi river in Almora over the weekend. Three bodies have been recovered so far and police are searching for the other two. According to reports received here, heavy landslides continued to block the Delhi-Badrinath highway at Lambagarh in Chamoli district for the second day on Saturday. Massive landslides on Saturday have also blocked the Yamunotri road at Hanuman Chatti and Rana Chatti. Similarly the Gangotri road has been blocked by debris at Sonagad and Firang. Efforts to restore these roads were hampered by incessant rain.
