MP inaugurates development seminar

Various project proposals discussed


KOCHI: It is now time to plan completing development projects in a time-bound manner, said Sebastian Paul, MP, here on Saturday.

He was speaking after inaugurating the development seminar for People’s Plan Project for 2008-’09 at the EMS Memorial Town Hall.

Many of the projects are remaining halfway through. This situation should change, he said.

In her presidential address, Mayor Mercy Williams said many ongoing projects were affected by the increase in the price of construction materials.

Corporation Secretary Mini Antony explained the main aspects to be taken care of while conceiving development projects.

Different working groups discussed the draft proposals for various projects and reports were submitted on the basis of regions.

Leader of Opposition A.B. Sabu and Corporation engineer Sheikh Ismail spoke.
