CHENNAI: Top-seed A.V. Nivedita (IOC) saved two match points to defeat D.V. Sneha (Indian Bank) 12-10, 7-11, 11-13, 8-11, 11-7, 13-11, 11-7 in an engrossing women’s quarterfinal match of the TTPPA 5th State-ranking table tennis tournament at Hall of TT, Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.
Earlier, Divya Rajaram shocked U.V. Agni (SDAT-AKG), the second seed, in the women’s pre-quarterfinals. However, Divya lost in the next round to K.K. Narmadha (Indian Bank).
