KOCHI: Kottuvally panchayat in the district has been chosen as the first village under the Jeevajyothi Sevana programme undertaken by Lions District 324 E4. The programme was launched here on Saturday by the Minister for Public Works Mons Joseph. The Lions District will be partner in the development of a total of 103 panchayats. The 80 Lions Clubs in the districts of Alappuzha, Idukki and Ernakualm will undertake the development of the 103 villages. The PWD Minister also inaugurated the ‘Save Kidney Patient’ programme in which the target is to provide free medical check up and follow up treatment to 20,000 diabetics.
