Two killed in road accidents

TIRUCHENGODE: Two persons were killed in two different accidents near the town on Friday.

Police said Saroja (40) of Aadipalayam, who was working in a weaving unit, was returning home from the work place, when a motorcycle hit her. She sustained serious injuries and died on the way to hospital.

In another accident in Munjanai, an aged person was fatally knocked down by an unidentified vehicle.

The identity of the deceased was yet to be established.

Police registered cases.
