Actor Krishna evasive on son’s entry into politics
Special Coresspondent
HYDERABAD: Telugu film actor G. Krishna called on Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday. A staunch Congress supporter and a former MP, he described it as a courtesy call.
The meeting assumes significance in the light of ‘megastar’ Chiranjeevi’s entry into politics. Krishna’s supporters and his son ‘Pokiri’ fame Mahesh Babu recently launched a series of social service programmes that included “educating people on the value of their vote.”
Krishnasaid he greeted the Chief Minister who celebrated his 59th birthday in Maldives on July 8.
He was, however, evasive when asked about the political entry of Mahesh Babu as “he (Mahesh Babu) still has a long film career.”
