Jharkhand gets woman Chief Justice

Ranchi: Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra on Sunday became the first woman to take over as the new Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court.

She was administered the oath by Governor Syed Sibtey Razi at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

Justice Gyan Sudha Mishra, who first became a judge of Patna High Court in 1994, was a judge in the Rajasthan High Court for 13 years. — PTI
