Title for Jolly Cricketers

Bangalore: Jolly Cricketers emerged champion in the KSCA Group I, second division league that concluded here recently.

Jolly Cricketers was tied with Mount Joy and Modern CC with 16 points each but inched ahead on the basis of a better wicket-rate of 1.7. In its last league match that concluded in a draw, Jolly Cricketers scored 280 for five in 55 overs and in reply, Modern CC scored 175 for six at close with Syed Ibrez chipping in an 87.

Modern CC 175 for six in 44 overs (Syed Ibrez 87).

Mount Joy CC 258 for seven decl. in 43.3 overs (Vijay Kumar 100, Harsha 56) bt Visweswarapuram CC (1) 120 in 35.5 overs (Dinakar 44, Nishith seven for 59).

Sir Syed Cricketers 226 for eight decl. in 49.4 overs (Nischith 88, Ramakrishna 60, Mahesh four for 58) drew with

Jaidur Cricketers 173 for nine in 50 overs (Mahesh 74, Kiran Kumar 43).

Swastic Union CC (2) 237 for nine in 55 overs (Sachin 52, Raghavendra 41, K.S.T. Sai 41) drew with FUCC (2) 158 for eight in 51 overs.

Bangalore United CC (1) 232 in 53.4 overs (Siddharth 69, C. Raghu 63, Prem 46) lost to Jayanagar Colts 233 for nine in 48.1 overs (Ashok 41, C. Raghu five for 45).

Bangalore SC 273 for eight in 55 overs (Jagannath 97, Manjunath 57) drew with Bangalore Occassionals 175 for six in 41 overs. — Principal Correspondent
