Minister witnesses naval exercises
Union Minister of State for Defence M.M. Pallam Raju, accompanied by an entourage of 150 personnel, on Sunday spent a Day at Sea onboard ‘INS Sukanya’ witnessing naval exercises by the Eastern Fleet ships that included ‘INS Ranvir’ and ‘INS Vinash’. The Union Minister was accompanied by Vice Admiral Nirmal Verma, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the ENC and Rear Admiral Satish Soni, Flag Officer Commanding, Eastern Fleet. The naval exercises showcased included a simulated attack by Marine Commandoes in Gemini inflatable craft, search and rescue demonstration by Chetak helicopter, anti-submarine operations by Kamov helicopter
