Body identified

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Ashoknagar police have identified the body of a 28-year-old woman found in Electronics City Police limits on Friday as that of Divya, who was reported missing since Thursday.

Divya, wife of Manjunath and resident of Attur Layout in Yelahanka, had come to her parents residing at Neelasandra on July 8. She took a bus to Majestic to go home and was seen off by her sister-in-law on Thursday. However, Divya never went to her house. On Sunday, Divya’s father, Basappa, a retired sub-inspector of police with Karnataka State Reserve Police, approached the Ashoknagar police with a missing complaint. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
