Explosives seized

Krishnagiri: Krishnagiri Q branch police on Sunday seized a large quantity of explosive material from a house at Mudukurukki near Berigai. The seizures included 3,500 detonators and 50 kgs of slurry explosives.
Pratap Chakravarthy (45) of Jharkhand who was staying on rent in Mudukurukki was arrested in this connection.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided the house in the early hours and found the explosives stored in the room.
Probe ordered
A detailed investigation has been ordered and all check posts in the district have been alerted. The explosives were stored without valid documents. Police suspect that the explosives were meant for use in granite quarries in the district.
