Seminar on getting student visas for U.K.

Bangalore: The British Council is organising a seminar on Tuesday on student visas in the city through a videoconference from British Council for the benefit of students who have got admission from U.K. institutions for the September/October 2008 intake.

The seminar will be useful for those who are applying for student visas and for those who are planning to go to the U.K. in future for higher studies.

Chris Perry, Entry Clearance Officer, British Deputy High Commission, will brief students on the latest student visa procedures including the Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS), biometrics, student visitor visa, useful documents to submit and so on. Students who have obtained admission can bring a copy of the admission letter to avail a gift. The seminar is between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. at British Library, Prestige Takt, 23, Kasturba Road Cross. Entry is free.
