Book your ticket to the Olympics

BANGALORE: It is still not too late for Bangaloreans to book a ticket to witness Beijing Olympics.

As the countdown has begun for the sporting extravaganza, Mediterranean Hospitality Holidays Private Ltd. (MHHPL), New Delhi, is ready to take you to the venue of the Olympics. That too from Bangalore Palace Ground.

The MHHPL has set up a stall at India International Tourism Mart, a travel and tourism exhibition, organised by the Travel Media Networks in association with Karnataka Tourism at Palace Grounds, where sports and travel freaks can book their tickets to Beijing.

Rajesh Taneja, Managing Director of MHHPL, said: “We have arranged five trips to Capital of China. First trip will leave to Beijing on August 6. Trips include four nights accommodation.”

“Beijing Olympic Programme 6 to 26 August 2008 will provide all Indian meals throughout the trip. Sports lovers’ itinerary includes two-day sightseeing tours. But only one day is available for enjoying world premier sport event. The final trip (August 22-26) will have an opportunity to watch final events of men’s hockey or finals of football,” said Mr. Taneja. Final events include bronze medal match, gold medal match and prize distribution ceremony. The cost of the trip would depend on the group size and category of hotel.

The cost varied from Rs. 1.48 lakh to Rs. 1.77 lakh a person and these prices were applicable on a group having minimum 30 persons. The cost might increase if the number of travellers in a group was less than 30, he said.
