Toppers: Chippy S. Jemsheed (Mathematics); Divya S. Nair (Physics) Toppers: G. Rekha Krishnan(Chemistry); Keerthi Harikrishnan (Botany); G. Deepa (Zoology) THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Girls cornered all but one of the top ranks in the final year B.Sc examinations of the University of Kerala, the results of which were announced here on Monday. The lone boy who made it to the list of toppers was K. Arun Prasad of Government College, Kariavattom, who came first in geography. Pass percentageOf the 6,126 students who wrote the examinations, 3,466 secured first class, 1,095 second class and 340 secured third class. The pass percentage is 80. Last year, the pass percentage was 81.94. The results can be accessed at the web site www.keralauniversity.edu. The first rank for mathematics went to Chippy S. Jemsheed of D.B. College, Sasthamkotta; first rank for physics went to Divya S. Nair of S.N. College, Varkala; first rank for chemistry went to G. Rekha Krishnan of FMN College, Kollam; and the top rank for botany went to Keerthi Harikrishnan of the Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. The first rank for zoology went to G. Deepa of the NSS College for Women, Neeramankara; first rank for bio-chemistry went to Aparna Asok of NSS College, Pandalam; R. Renjima of MMNSS College, Kottiyam, bagged the first rank for polymer chemistry; and J.R. Neethu of Government College, Kariavattom, secured the first rank for statistics. While Aparna Sagar of University College, Thiruvananthapuram, got the first rank for geology, the top rank in home science went to Sulfia S. Santhosh of the Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. Applications for revaluation and scrutiny can be submitted till August 5.
