Surprise checks by ACB yields unaccounted cash
HYDERABAD: Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday seized Rs. 64,880 from six agents in the office of the Deputy Transport Commissioner, Kadapa, after conducting a surprise check. They confiscated unclaimed amount of Rs.6,500 lying within the office.
A press release issued by ACB here stated that the check was conducted by the DSP of Tirupati Range and Inspector of Kadapa. Ananta Ram Singh, RTO, Proddatur, is holding additional charge of the office. When the check was conducted administrative officers Vijaya Kumari and Sunkanna were present.
In another surprise check on the Kadapa Driving Test Centre by Inspectors G. Rajasekhar and Nagaraj unaccounted Rs.48, 750 were seized. An amount of Rs.8, 380 was confiscated from a private agent who conducted fitness tests.
