Snag-hit flight cancelled

Nedumbassery: Hundred and eighty-three passengers of a Damam-bound Air India flight (AI 911) were stranded at the Cochin international airport here on Monday after the flight was cancelled due to technical reasons.

Sources in the airport said that though all the 183 passengers had received the boarding passes by 8.30 am, the flight was grounded due to a technical snag.

Later, the passengers were accommodated in nearby hotels and an alternative flight was arranged by the airline to carry the passengers to Damam. —A Correspondent
