Seat selection process for Architecture course on Tuesday Casual vacancy rounds for medicine will start on July 30 BANGALORE: The seat selection process for admission to government engineering colleges and government quota seats in 141 engineering colleges in the State, drew to a close on Monday. As many as 1,800 seats in reserved categories remained unfilled. These category seats will be converted to GM in casual vacancy round for the benefit of those who could not secure a seat of their choice, Special Officer, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Syed Jamal, told The Hindu. The admission round seat selection process for Architecture course will be held on Tuesday. As many as 251 seats in various architecture colleges in the State will be on offer. The seat selection round for diploma students seeking admission through lateral entry into second year of various engineering courses will start on Wednesday. The casual vacancy rounds for medicine will start on July 30 as per schedule. A press release from the KEA appealed to candidates who have selected seats to report to the respective colleges. Those who wished to participate in the casual vacancy round should wait and try again, the release said. The reporting date would be extended on the day of the casual vacancy round. CancellationSeats would not be cancelled till the completion of the casual vacancy round unless candidates cancelled seats on their own, the release added.
