Check on ticketless travel

Thiruvananthapuram: The recently introduced fine for ticket-less travel is turning out to be good source of income for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation. The corporation could mop up Rs.17,500 on this count on Monday alone. The amount was collected from 35 persons who were found to be travelling without tickets during a State-wide operation conducted by the vigilance wing. In Thiruvananthapuram city, the KSRTC team nabbed 12 persons. Five of them were government employees. —Special Correspondent
