Raids in Koppal and Shimoga
BANGALORE: The Excise and Lottery Prohibition wing of the police have arrested seven persons and recovered illicit liquor and spirit worth Rs. 9.63 lakh, and vehicles in Raichur and Shimoga.
The police wing raided a place near Indaragi in Munirabad of Koppal district and recovered illicit liquor and a van. The police arrested five persons from Hubli. The accused were coming to Koppal to prepare fake Indian Made Foreign Liqour.
In Shimoga, the police wing raided a field on B.H. Road and recovered 17 boxes containing 816 bottles of whisky.
They arrested two persons and recovered the van used to transport the liquor.
