CII launches Namma Halli project
Bangalore: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on Monday launched the Namma Halli project in the State.
The CII President K.V. Kamath inaugurated the project recently. The initiative, supported by the Srinivasa Services Trust, and promoted by the TVS Group, is a three-year “scheduled intervention” which is to cost Rs. 30 lakh per gram panchayat. Five industry sponsors have so far made commitments to support the project. The gram panchayat of Doora, in Mysore district, has been selected for implementation on a pilot basis. — Special Correspondent
