Stringent traffic curbs in Nellore for Sonia’s visit

Strict vigil: Information and Public Relations Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy reviewing security arrangements in Nellore on Monday.

NELLORE: Traffic restrictions being imposed in view of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s visit to the town on July 17 is all likely to cause hardship to citizens and public transport system.

Buses including the APSRTC fleet will be off the road in Nellore for at least four hours on Thursday and long distance buses bound for Nellore are likely to skip the town.Giving details to the press on Monday, Superintendent of Police B. The area between Magunta Subbarami Reddy statue and Ayyappa temple, is going to be virtual fortress with police everywhere, as the AICC president’s programme is scheduled at police parade grounds with public meeting at AC Subba Reddy sports stadium. According to a senior Congress leader, around three lakh people, 800 buses and 800 trucks will be mobilised for Sonia Gandhi’s public meeting at the stadium.
