CMP posts win

Bangalore: CMP defeated SAI (Dharwad) 57-36 after trailing 17-31 at half-time in a State ‘B’ division basketball men’s league match at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium courts, here on Monday.

The results:

CMP 57 (Kadiresan 17, Vinay Kumar 15) bt SAI (Dharwad) 36 (Shahbaz 18, Dheeraj Shetty 16); Koramangala SC 79 (Mohammad 24, John 20, Prashanth 16) bt KS Hegde (Mangalore) 59 (Nitin 33).

Srikanth scalps five

Srikanth grabbed five wickets and paved the way for Shanthinikethan High School’s eight-wicket victory over MSV High School in a Boost Cup under-16 inter-School cricket tournament match here on Monday.

The scores:

MSV HS 58 in 16.1 overs (Srikanth five for 11, Dilip four for 20) lost to Shanthinikethan HS 62 for two in 6.3 overs.

Soundarya HS 108 in 21.1 overs (Srinidhi four for 15) lost to BP Indian HS 109 for five in 17.4 overs.

Mount Senoria School 94 in 22.1 overs (Vasanth five for 20) lost to VET School 95 for six in 19.3 overs (Srikanth four for 33).

SSM Public School 129 in 21.5 overs bt Holy Cross HS 117 in 17.2 overs (Vijay five for 36).

St. Joseph’s BHS scores win

Kevin Pramodh John struck twice in each half of the match to lead host St. Joseph’s Boys High School to a 2-0 victory over Frank Anthony Public School in the Fr. Eric Vaz Memorial inter-School hockey tournament for juniors at the Karnataka State Hockey Association, here on Monday.

Kevin scored the first goal one minute before the break and the second two minutes before the final whistle.

In the Centenary Shield match for seniors, Bishop Cottons Boys High School beat Dream-A-Dream 4-0.

Abhishek Kumar (21 & 23) logged a brace and was supported by Ameen Ahmed (29th) and Ankith Murlecha (48th).
