MOGA: The Punjab police have registered a case against six persons, including three cops, for allegedly committing fraud, cheating and forgery. Senior Superintendent of Police Ashok Baath said that about a month back the police received a complaint from a social organisation with details of bogus passports issued by the Regional Passport Office in connivance with Superintendent Didar Singh. Some police officers were allegedly involved in preparing fake documents of the department and forging police verification reports. They have been identified as Jaswinder Singh, Ranjeet Singh and Gurdayal Singh of the Punjab Police, Nagar Council clerk Balwinder Singh, postman Ranjit Singh and Chandigarh Regional Passport Office Superintendent Didar Singh No arrests have been made yet as all the accused are absconding.
