VIJAYAWADA: Officials of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) have come out with novel and consistent programmes to get more public attention to their services and various packages. In addition to this, they are conducting roadshows and melas to solve users’ problems and retain their base. Appeal to usersGeneral Manager John Chrisostom has appealed to users to make use of the reconnection and new connections melas being organised at various places in the city from time to time and on a regular basis. One such mela was organised for telephone numbers starting with 240 here on Tuesday. Many people came and got their registration for new mobile connections and broadband connections. The areas covered in the programme were Dadhakotla Centre, Prakashnagar, Pipula Road, Krishna Hotel Centre, Payakapuram, Luna Centre, Santhinagar, Prasanthinagar, Kandrika and Vambay Colony. Rent was waived for non-working period in case of reconnection of disconnected phones and there were no reconnection charges. Installation charges of Rs. 500 were waived for new phone connections booked at the roadshow. More services are being offered.
