On communalising education

KOLAR: S.Y. Gurushanth, writer and editor of ‘Janashakthi’ weekly, called upon the student community to oppose the move of the State Government to communalise education in the name of reforms. He was addressing a gathering at the inauguration of the 20th district conference of Students Federation of India here on Tuesday.

Mr. Gurushanth expressed concern over the dangerous portents of governments to ‘saffronise’ education and condemned the tendency to call ‘owners’ of private educational institutions as educationists. — Staff Correspondent
