Samathuvapuram to come up at Odachery

TIRUVARUR: A samathuvapuram will be established at a cost of Rs.2.5 crore at Odachery near Tiruvarur, said U. Mathivanan, Dairy Development Minister, at Odachery on Tuesday.
He was participating in the Kamaraj birth anniversary and Education Development Day elebrations.
Many development works were going on in the area, the Minister said and cited the construction of a bridge across Vettar at a cost of Rs.2 crore. Under tourism development fund, works worth Rs.36.5 lakh have been taken up. He distributed free television sets to 144 persons at the function.
Later he participated in a function at panchayat union school at Pulivalam.
He declared open a building at Kattur Government Higher Secondary School.
He gave laptop computers to 32 Tamil medium toppers SSLC examinations in the district.
A.John Louis, District Revenue officer presided over the function.
