Book released

Staff Correspondent

Udupi: Writer S. Shadakshari said on Tuesday that good teachers attracted students, including the reluctant ones, to schools.

He was releasing the book Shikshakarige Shubhavagali written by MGM College principal Jayaprakash Mavinakuli here.

Mr. Shadakshari said teachers lacked personal relationship with their students. They were taking classes only to earn money. “A real teacher is the one who kindles the minds of students. The life of a teacher can be meaningful when he is remembered by his students,” he said.

Dr. Mavinakuli welcomed the gathering. Writer Arvind Chokady spoke. Writer Mahabaleshwara Rao presided over the programme.
