KATHMANDU: The Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal will elect its first President and Vice-President on July 19. The Constituent Assembly on Tuesday passed the Election Procedures, prepared by the Constituent Assembly Procedures Advisory Committee, to elect the President and Vice-President. Procedures stipulate that candidates could be nominated by a political consensus, failing which, the election would take place. “On Friday, campaigns will take place to promote the election,” said CA chairman Kul Bahadur Gurung, adding: “And the election will be held on Saturday.”
